You’re probably wondering, “42musings, WTF is that?”

A small percentage of the population will catch the reference immediately: fans of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams. In the book, scientists build a supercomputer to answer the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. After 7.5 million years of computing, the answer comes back “42”. (On a side note, the computer goes on to say that the answer doesn’t make sense because the people who programmed the computer didn’t really understand the question they were asking.)

Glossing over the philosophical implications for now, 42musings is a collection of my random diatribes on any topics that catch my fancy, ranging across life, the universe, and everything. I have no grand plan at the moment, just a bunch of disparate topics that interest me. Enjoy!

Some posts will be good, others… not so good. Here are some of my favorites, I recommend starting here, then using the tags on the right to find related topics.
